Grandkids Kids Say the Darnedest Things

CHARLIE AND THE TOOTH FAIRY

March 15, 2018

Once upon a time there was an adorable, spunky little seven year old girl named Charlotte, but her Grandma who loved her very much, called her Charlie. Or sometimes Charlie Girl.  Charlie had hazel eyes that twinkled, long beautiful hair and big dimples when she smiled. Grandma called her cute as a button.

Charlie Girl had a rather large gap in her front teeth where she had lost a tooth, so she knew all about the Tooth Fairy. So naturally, when she lost the second tooth she was very excited. She knew that when she put her lost tooth under her pillow that night, the Tooth Fairy would fly in while she was sound asleep and leave her money. That tooth was valuable!

Well Charlie had three sisters who all shared bunk beds with hers. They all had  big fluffy white comforters and lots of pillows. That night Charlie crawled into bed under all those covers and went to put that valuable tooth under her pillow. But somehow she dropped it and it disappeared. She lost it! She looked everywhere but couldn’t find it. She had to think really fast, so she decided that she had to write the Tooth Fairy a very special letter to explain that it was an accident. So that’s what she did. The next morning there was money under her pillow.  It had worked.! She was so happy. When her mommie came in that  morning, she discovered the letter. With a little smile on her face she told Charlie how clever she was to write that letter, and how nice the Tooth Fairy had been to be so understanding. Charlie agreed and they lived happily ever after.
